Watershed Development Projects in India : An Evaluation, by John Kerr, Ganesh Pangare, Vasudha Pangare, IFPRI, 2002 

This study based on a survey of 86 villages in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra states, evaluates the relative success in raising agricultural productivity, improving natural resource management and reducing poverty through  different watershed projects.


The Good Society: The Pani Panchayat Model of Sustainable Water Management, INTACH, 1996

This is  a documentation of Vilasrao Salunkhe's campaign for the equitable sharing of water within village communities through the Pani Panchayat concept. 

 

 

Water For the Future: 2003

This is  a documentation of projects supported through Netherlands Development Cooperation in India. These water related projects emphasize poverty reduction, decentralisation, local participation and women's empowerment, through local institutions.
